Mr. Jayeson Carmichael, President & Director
Mr. Carmichael’s mission is to help build hi-tech start-up companies through taking an active advisory role in the establishment and further development of these ventures and by incorporating his hi-tech industry expertise and past experience in the successful implementation of this mission. Mr. Carmichael is dedicated to providing these businesses with initial consulting and feasibility analysis, as well as helping seek further seed capital for the ventures through professional networking in the investment community.
In 1999, Mr. Carmichael founded The Carmichael Institute – a think tank for learning and higher intelligence, with a focus on global political issues and current events. The Carmichael Institute will develop via its online presence (www.carmichael-institute.com) and annual meetings in both Canada and the United States.
Mr. Carmichael is the Founder and President of The J. Carmichael Group (est. 1996) – a private, Vancouver-based venture focused on seeking out companies in the hi-tech field that show potential for future success and require financing to further their operations. Based on extensively researching and analyzing such companies, The J. Carmichael Group advises potential clients on the merits of investing in these ventures.
Over the past three years, Mr. Carmichael has developed extensive knowledge of the Internet and e-commerce markets – a valuable asset in the assessment of hi-tech business models.
As a member of The J. Carmichael Group, Mr. Carmichael advised the executive team of Megadepot.com regarding strategic planning and procurement of investment capital.
Current projects of Mr. Carmichael with The J. Carmichael Group include:
- Contract agreement with several companies in Vancouver, actively seeking investment opportunities in the Internet and e-commerce fields
- Involvement in the seed capital round of investment for Megadepot.com
- Development of a close working relationship with Western Pacific Developments Ltd.
- a holding company with investments in various Internet start-ups. Mr. Carmichael has played an instrumental role in advising on these investments, and providing leadership and corporate development expertise to Western Pacific Developments Ltd.
Mr. Carmichael is twenty-nine years old and holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Edward Wong, Secretary & Director
Mr. Wong’s background is in real estate. However, over the last three years he has been a successful entrepreneur as an owner and operations manager of a restaurant.
In 1988 Mr. Wong graduated from Langara College, completing an academic program in appraisal and investment analysis of real estate. Shortly after graduation, he started his real estate career as a residential real estate appraiser. Mr. Wong rapidly progressed in the real estate field and, based on his eight successful years as residential property appraiser, he accepted a promotion as commercial real estate sales and leasing agent in 1990.
In 1998, following another eight prosperous years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Wong became the owner and operations manager of a restaurant. Since then, the venture has prospered and attracted numerous visitors under the leadership of Edward.
Ms. Diane Travis, Director
Ms. Travis is a successful, long-term entrepreneur, an accomplished marketer of high-quality products, as well as a “Master” of customer service.
Ms. Travis has over thirty years entrepreneurial experience in the health and beauty industry. She is the owner of a high-end beauty salon offering hair styling, esthetics, massage, reflexology, and sales of high-quality beauty products. As a company owner, Ms. Travis has been an accomplished marketing and customer service professional. Her company has been in business for thirty years partly due to Ms. Travis’ successful product marketing campaigns and customer retention programs.
Before becoming an entrepreneur and company owner, Ms. Travis’ record demonstrates a successful career in real estate and securities investments.
